North to South (Part 5) - To Queenstown

IMG_8397

Hi, guys! I am back again to update for the exciting day. Woke up early in the morning settled our breakfast, pack luggage and leave the accommodation. Our purpose to Franz Josef is because of Fox Glacier but after checking the price its totally over our budget!! (Me and Danny).
So we then decided to leave it to next time and drive to Franz Josef town to walk around and took a picture with the snow mountain. Before that, along with the driving road, we found out a hidden gem. A lookout point, as usual, we stop by and have a picture.

Surprisingly the scene can be so nice! I personally think that if there is no cloud the scene will be nicer. As I mentioned before, most of the lake in New Zealand are actually have the effect of reflection. Well, this is a strong evidence to support my statement. hahaha! So lucky us! No money to the Fox Glacier? Is okay we have Lake Mapourika. After enjoying the lake (they playing stone again!) then finally we leave this gem and head to the town area.

Yes, took a picture with the mountain behind us full of snow was our plan. After spending about 5 minutes here, there is a man walking toward us and asked us whether go for the Fox Glacier activities. But we just answered that we have limited money so just walk around this time and will come back next time. Then he offers us a package with 195NZD (original price 250NZD) so that we can go up to the mountain with a helicopter ride. Since we get an offer than all of us was agree with that price so why not give it a try right?

Let's go! Fasten your seat belt, put on your ear set, say cheese and ready to fly! About 10 minutes ride then we reached on top of the mountain! What are you waiting for?

I can't deny that the scene is really amazing. Along the ride from land to the mountain you can see a lot breathe taking view that you are not able to capture with your camera. All I can say it's really a different experience for us. The full experience took us 45 minutes and we are satisfied! Better than nothing right? After all the excitement and energy spend we finally feel hungry. What next? Hunt for food!

This cafe name Hobnail Cafe (you can find the detail below) located at the Fox Glacier Town. Before this, we actually went to the others cafe right opposite from Hobnail Cafe but then the price too expensive. So we decided to run away from that cafe. We order big breakfast series and a hot chocolate. After feed our tummy, we then depart to the next station - Lake Matheson. Lake Matheson was known as mirror lake.

So nice right! I have done a Facebook live over here but the signal was bad. But is okay since the scene so nice and a photo is enough to keep everything. Also, right at this moment, we received a call from Lily flower bulb packhouse asked us to work! What a good news to all of us who already unemployed for almost a month.  So lucky we finally get jobs offer and we are heading to Christchurch soon! After this lake, we then drive all the way down to Queenstown and stay a night there. We have a brand new experience which we choose to sleep in a car. I can say, not a good idea tho! That all for today's post. Stay turn for the next! see ya!
