woke up early in the morning, it's raining cats and dogs outside. As usual, wake up take a shower and prepare for breakfast. When I step out from the rooms Danny told me that it's snowing outside! What?! Snow! Are you kidding me!
Then quickly ran out and have a look. Wahhhhh! Seriously snowing! The town all white in colour such a beautiful scene! Quickly take photos and endless Insta Story to record my first ever snow experience.
The snow quite heavy, it's cover the town rapidly and strong wind. So we decided to wait and see whether the snow will slow down a bit so that we can leave the town to Ashburton. While we happily it's snowing in Lake Tekapo, we met two of the couple from Malaysia stay in YHA Lake Tekapo too. So we have a short chat and all of us decided to build a snow man.
Successfully build a snowman and groupie is a must with the snowman and all the builder. After building a snowman we then start a snow fight. This is a must do things while it's snow! After we feel tired, then all get back to the indoor to keep ourselves warm. The snow still not going to slow down and started to get worried because we do not have any stay for tonight, and the YHA already fully booked. Anyhow, we should leave this accommodation but we have nowhere to go.
It's seen like not a good news to us. The snow never stop and look at our car and look at the snow on the floor! so thick! How are we going to depart? Unfortunately, we have been chased out by the receptionist. As they are fully booked and no more rooms for us so anyhow we should leave. Then the receptionist even helped us contact another backpacker lodge nearby. So we have to move to another backpacker lodge. The second bad news was, the main road from Tekapo out to town is closed. That means we have been stuck here.

By hook or by crook, we have to stay a night here and hopefully tomorrow the weather will get better so that we can leave to our final destination. Anyway, this is what I always told my friend, not to plan too much for a trip. There is always changes. Hope for the good weather tomorrow and stay turn for another post! See ya!
